004: Emergency Kit(s)



Safety is not what prevents us from having fun but what enables us to go further and continue having new experiences.

First a few Definitions:

  • Gear: A fancy word for stuff.

  • Technical Gear:  a fancy word for expensive stuff that kind of matters.

  • Ultralight Gear: Flimsy stuff that was purchased intentionally.

  • Emergency Equipment: A term for things you buy but hope you never need to use.

  • Game Plan:  What you hope to accomplish.

  • Emergency Plan: What you hope doesn't need to be accomplished.

  • E-mail: short for electronic mail

  • Emergency Preparedness E-mail: An email that makes your loved ones nervous

  • An Adventure: When the unknown was experienced safely or without issue

  • A Tragedy: When the unknown was experienced unsafely or with an issue

  • Problem: Something that requires a solution

  • An Issue: Something that requires consultation

  • Weapon: An implement that can cause physical harm or damage

    • A gun is another term for a weapon

  • Tool: An implement used to carry out a task

    • A firearm is another term for a tool
